The Blood of Dawnwalker Editions & Preorder Bonuses
Standard vs Eclipse vs Collector's Edition compared: prices, contents, the Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor preorder bonus, and whether any edition gets early access.

The Blood of Dawnwalker comes in four editions, from the $69.99 standard release to a $199.99 Collector’s Edition with a Coen figurine. The short version: no edition includes early access or exclusive gameplay content, so the choice comes down purely to how much physical and digital extra material you want.
Here’s every edition compared.
All editions at a glance
| Edition | Price | Format | Contents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 | Digital & retail | Base game |
| Eclipse Edition | $79.99 | Digital | Base game + Digital World Compendium + Digital Soundtrack + Digital Comic Book |
| Day One Edition | Not confirmed (retail) | Physical, retail-exclusive | Base game + Steelbook + World Map |
| Collector’s Edition | $199.99 | Physical, Bandai Namco Store | Base game + Eclipse digital content + Steelbook + World Map + physical World Compendium + Collector’s Box + 23 cm Coen figurine |
The preorder bonus — and why it’s skippable
Preordering any edition gets you the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set, an armor set for Coen “adorned with an emblem of a nameless smith who travelled across the continent in pursuit of inspiration,” per the official Steam description.
The important detail is in the fine print: the same armor can be obtained later in the game. It’s an early unlock, not an exclusive. If you’d rather wait for reviews, you’re not permanently losing anything.
Eclipse Edition: $10 for the lore package
The Eclipse Edition’s $10 premium buys three digital extras: a world compendium, the soundtrack, and a comic book. There’s no gameplay content and no early access. If you’re the kind of player who reads the lore PDF, it’s a modest ask; everyone else can safely stick with standard.
Day One Edition: the retail pick
The Day One Edition is a retail-exclusive physical release that packages the base game with a steelbook and a world map. Bandai Namco hasn’t published an official price for it — retail day-one editions typically sit at or near standard pricing, but treat that as expectation rather than fact until listings confirm it.
Collector’s Edition: for the shelf
The $199.99 Collector’s Edition, sold through the Bandai Namco Store, is the full package: everything from the Eclipse and Day One editions plus a physical world compendium (reported at around 60 pages), a collector’s box, and the centerpiece 23 cm figurine of Coen.
Collector’s editions from Bandai Namco’s store have a habit of selling out before launch for high-anticipation titles — and this one crossed 2 million wishlists in July — so if you want it, sooner is safer than later.
No early access, no season pass
Two things worth stating plainly, because edition pages often bury them:
- No edition plays earlier. Eclipse and Collector’s buyers start at the same time as standard-edition players on September 3, 2026.
- No season pass exists. Nothing paid has been announced beyond the base game. Rebel Wolves’ CEO Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has instead pointed to a planned roadmap of “smaller, free add-ons” — the Witcher 3 free-DLC model — with no paid expansions committed so far.
Which edition should you buy?
- Just want to play: Standard, $69.99.
- Want the soundtrack and lore extras: Eclipse, $79.99.
- Physical collector on a budget: Day One Edition at retail.
- Display-shelf collector: Collector’s Edition, $199.99, while stock lasts.
And if you’re undecided about the game itself: skip the preorder, wait for reviews, and earn the Wayfarer armor in-game later. You lose nothing.
